Environmental Policy

Three starting points

A well considered environmental policy permeates all operations across the Qeep Group's and is based on three fundamental beliefs:

  1. Together with our clients, we want to develop communication solutions that also minimise the use of finite resources and reduce the use of all substances that adversely impact on the environment.
  2. Qeep Group, together with their subsidiary companies, helps its clients to market the fact that they participate in environmentally responsible activities and that they themselves market and provide products and services that demonstrate environmental benefits.
  3. Internal work within the Qeep Group shall be undertaken with a far-sighted regard for the environment and at every possible opportunity. We will also choose to work actively in cooperation with environmentally aware suppliers.

Management and responsibility

Each employee has a large and personal responsibility when it comes to environmental work.

The Managing Director of each subsidiary company's is personally responsible for continuously monitoring environmental issues and activities and for informing and educating staff. They are also responsible for ensuring that there are clearly enacted routines for dealing with ecologically harmful substances and in creating a positive internal environment.

Qeep Groups internal environmental work

Qeep Group and its subsidiary companies do not knowingly carry out any polluting activities as defined by current legislation. However, it is acknowledged that some of the group's activities do effect the environment to a limited extent, partly through office work, partly in association with travel and transportation and partly because of client's operations.

Follow-up and feedback

How each activity affects the environment will be evaluated and continuously monitored for constant improvement. The follow-up will mainly deal with the risk of discharge/spill, generation and management of waste, possibilities for waste sorting and recycling as well as economising on energy and resources.

The inner environment

Within Qeep Group activities there is a necessity for computers and other electronic equipment. An important part of Qeep Group staff policy is to maintain a good working environment along with ergonomically designed work stations. The negative impact derived from the use of electronic equipment, noise and dust etc, will be limited or removed to as much as is reasonably possible.
Through our commitment to undertake careful and responsible selection of equipment and work methods to ensure opportunities for lessening energy consumption, we place the same demands on these activities as on all other parts of our operations.

Effective resource use

A large element of communication can be carried out electronically, using phone, fax, e-mails etc. All staff members use the electronic network for communication both internally and to clients and suppliers. It decreases the need for paper, dispatches and personal visits.

For contact with clients or others, the Qeep Group and its subsidiary companies offer electronic communication as standard. Business trips should be planned effectively and from an environmental perspective.
If there is a possibility to share cars, this should be taken advantage of. Possibilities to use video, phone and internet conferences should also be taken advantage of.

Recycling

Waste should be recycled in designated recycling areas. Especially important is paper, packaging, glass and cans, as these account for a major part of total waste.
Additionally decorations, computers and other electronic equipment shall be recycled, if it has not been possible to find someone willing to acquire it.

Consumer material

Consumer materials, refill materials for copying, printers, etc, cleaning chemicals, etc shall all be selected to ensure minimal environmental damage.
Purchases shall be coordinated to concentrate on the use of a few well-functioning products. For each of these there shall be clear product information and descriptions of the environmental consequences for handling, using and disposing of the products.

Environmentally aware suppliers

Qeep Group, together with its subsidiary companies, will carry out all its client assignments through cooperation with environmentally aware suppliers. That means suppliers who have a documented environmental policy or are certified as suitable after appropriate quality and environmental checks and that use eco-friendly labelled products.

The environmental consideration shall always be an equal rights factor when choosing suppliers and other cooperative partners. Suppliers' activities or attitudes shall never run contrary to the Qeep Group environmental policy.
